Since the 1990s, Nomura has provided educational programs for people of all ages to learn about finance and economics. In September, we organized a fun day of money lessons and soccer for elementary school students. Here’s a look back.
In September 2025, Nomura teamed up with Nankatsu SC, a professional soccer club in Katsushika, Tokyo, to host a day of financial education and soccer for local elementary school students at the team’s home field. The day kicked off with Nomura’s Manabow Class, where students learned about society and the economy through simple quizzes and games that simulated foreign exchange market shifts. In the second half, Nankatsu SC players joined the session and the children enjoyed practicing and sharpening their soccer skills alongside the pros.
That evening, Nankatsu SC faced Tokyo United FC in a Kanto Soccer League Division 1 game at the same venue. The field was full of energy well before the game. Nomura Securities’ Koiwa Branch ran booths where kids and adults alike enjoyed money quizzes and boccia, the popular Paralympic sport. Events like this give Nomura the chance to engage directly with the local community and showcase our initiatives.
From children to seniors, Nomura remains committed to improving financial literacy across generations.
