Our 100th Anniversary Website is a commemorative site that looks back on Nomura’s 100-year history and conveys our vision as a firm as we look ahead to the future. Leading up to this milestone anniversary in December 25, 2025, the site will sequentially release a timeline of our history, a video series, and information about our 100th Anniversary Project. It will highlight the economic conditions and events that have occurred in the global financial services industry over the past 100 years, allowing visitors to see the social circumstances of the era.
Through the site, we illustrate the principles and values that have been passed down since Nomura’s founding and that are embodied in our Group Purpose: "We aspire to create a better world by harnessing the power of financial markets".
The historical timeline is one of the main features of the commemorative site. Titled "The Story of 100 Years of Nomura," it tells the story of how Nomura has evolved and grown by taking on new challenges and provides insights into the economic conditions and financial industry trends of the time. In addition to the timeline, we will sequentially release eight videos highlighting our history. The video series will focus on key topics about Nomura from each decade, while also introducing the historical background and significant events related to the economy and finance. The videos will include commentary from members tasked with compiling a book that covers our corporate history in depth.
